What photo format should you choose with BEBOP 2 FPV?

First of all, it's up to you to choose the most appropriate photo format for your images.

But there's a bit of a forgotten chapter to Spike, Jet, Faye and Edward's story - the PlayStation 2 game Cowboy Bebop: Serenade of Reminiscence, which came out in Japan in 2005. The game never saw a release outside of Japan, sadly.

There are three types for Parrot Bebop 2 FPV:

Bebop
  • RAW/DNG - choose this format to take fisheye pictures in high resolution

  • JPEG - choose this format to take pictures in medium resolution.

  • JPEG 180 - choose this format to keep Fisheye shooting at medium resolution.

The default format is DNG.


How to take a photo with BEBOP 2 FPV

On the piloting screen, press to take a picture.

The internal memory of your Parrot Bebop 2 FPV has a capacity of 8GB. The maximum number of stored photos depends on the format selected. To choose the format of the photos, see the Recording Settings section. If Parrot Bebop 2 FPV's memory is full, you cannot take any more photos.

*NB: for good quality photos, make sure Parrot Bebop 2 FPV is in photo mode. To do this, go to the Recording Settings.

How to record a video with BEBOP 2 FPV

Recording starts automatically when you press the Take off button. The icon blinks while the video is being recorded.

To stop recording, press . To record a new video, press again. Video recording stops after 25 minutes.

*NB: you cannot take videos when Parrot Bebop 2 FPV is in timelapse mode. To disable the timelapse mode, see the Recording Settings.

Movement

The speed affects the quality of photos. The faster your Parrot Bebop 2 FPV is going, the more blurred your photos and videos will be. You can adjust the vertical tilt angle, vertical speed and rotation speed to achieve the best image quality.

For high-quality photos and videos, we recommend the following settings:

MAX TILT ANGLE – between 5 and 15 degrees

MAX VERTICAL SPEED – between 10.5 and 1.5 meters per second

MAX ROTATION SPEED – between 10 and 30 degrees per second

Video

Anti-flicker mode: remove the flicker effect on the video. Select the frequency that corresponds to the electrical frequency of your country. If you select Auto, the frequency band will be selected based on the country specified in the Wi-Fi settings.

Photo

Go to the PICTURE SETTINGS to adjust the various camera settings and adapt them to the flight conditions of your Parrot Bebop 2 FPV.

Adjust the white balance according to your environment by selecting the following buttons:

- automatic

- sunny exterior

- cloudy exterior

- interior with neon lighting

- interior with bulb lighting

Optimizing the camera angle in FlightPlan

By default, the camera angle is at 0°. The minimum angle is -60° and the maximum angle is +60°. The default angular speed is 30 degrees per second. It can vary from 5 to 180 degrees per second.

For minimal distortion and image quality, we recommend an angle between 20° and 45° with a speed of less than 60°/s.

  1. In FreeFlight Pro, press

  2. Choose Internal memory

  3. Choose the photo or video you want to transfer and press TRANSFER.

  4. Press OK.

  5. At the next message press SAVE to keep the files, otherwise press DELETE.

  6. Press < at the top of the Internal memory page to return to the main page of FreeFlight Pro.

  7. Press again.

  8. Go to My Gallery and select the photo or video that you want to post online.
