First, you need to download GSnap from GVST and unzip it. Copy and paste the two files dll and GVSTLicense in the Plug-Ins folder of Audacity. Launch the Audacity app and navigate to Effect Add / Remove Plug-ins. Then find the GSnap, enable it and click OK. After that, you can import the audio file that you want to auto tune. GSnap is hailed as the first autotune VST plugin to be released for free. Suprisingly, this free plugin is still among the best free pitch correction plugins out there. At first glance, GSnap seems to have most of the features of modern autotune plugins such as Graillon 2 and MAutoPitch.
GarageBand for Mac comes loaded with more sounds, effects and other audio options than you can shake a stick at, but chances are you’ll want to broaden your sonic horizons at some point.
